Peanut is not a junk food - Believe me

If I serve peanuts as a snack or food, the first thing I will hear from most of the people (more health conscious people) is it’s much of cholesterol. So, did a little research to see how true is the saying “peanuts more of cholesterol” and I found out its 100% the other way. Peanuts have 0% cholesterol.

Even though they are high in fat and calories more scientific research has shown that peanuts are quite good for health, especially in cholesterol when consumed with control. Many studies have proved that peanuts have direct connection for lowering cardio vascular risks (lower the chances of heart attack)

Peanuts are beneficial to our health for many reasons,

1. They have no cholesterol – 0%
2. They have plenty of poly and mono unsaturated fat – which is good and will not increase the blood cholesterol level.
3. They are rich in minerals like Calcium, iron, manganese ( maintain Blood sugar level, synthesize fatty acids and cholesterol)
4. They have high folate( important nutrient for pregnant women), choline ( reduce neurological disorders) and niacin ( needed for Metabolism) vitamins with Vitamin E
5. And have more than 35% of Dietary fiber in 100gms of peanut.

The only reason we need to be careful about the amount of intake is, it has saturated fat with it.

We all know everything in this world is a combination of good and bad. All we have to look is how much the good is when compared to bad. When compared, peanuts have more health benefits if the intake is moderate.

So peanut lovers like me

NOT TO WORRY! Peanuts are a part of the healthy food family!!!
